1. The
competition is open to all amateur and new singer/songwriters. Writers that derive the majority of their income from songwriting or have ever had a staff writing deal with a publishing company may not enter. No songs under a professional contract may be entered.
Employees of LINK4U PRODUCTIONS, their families, subsidiaries and
affiliates are not eligible.
2. EACH entry must consist of: Completed and signed entry form, CD and Lyric Sheet. No DATs. We do
not except songs that are in another language. English Only! Check/money
order made payable to LINK4U PRODUCTIONS or appropriate credit card
information. One check or money order is accepted for multiple entries.
Multiple songs can be submitted on 1 CD but each song must
include its own entry form.
3. Each entry shall be wholly original and shall not infringe any
copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Each entrant shall,
by entering, indemnify and hold LINK4U PRODUCTIONS harmless from and
against any claims inconsistent with the foregoing. All entry fees are
non-refundable. CDs and lyric sheets will not be returned.
LINK4U PRODUCTIONS is not responsible for late, lost, damaged,
misdirected, postage due, stolen or misappropriated entries.
4. Winners will be selected by top professional writers and other music
Industry professionals who may be substituted due to availability or at
the discretion of the contest organizers. The preliminary screenings
will be done by LINK4U PRODUCTIONS. All song entries are judged equally
on originality of melody, lyrics, and composition. Winners will be
determined by entry dates.
5. There will be no transfer and substitution of prizes except as
necessary due to availability in which case a prize of equal or greater
value will be awarded. The fair division and distribution of prizes
among co-writers is the responsibility of the winners. All prizes will
be awarded to the first name as it appears on the entry form. Void where prohibited. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Any
international or local taxes or other deductions due from the prizes
awarded will be the responsibility of the winners.
6. The entrant shall (or shall cause the copyright owner of the entry if
different from the entrant to) permit LINK4U PRODUCTIONS to perform the
entry in and as part of any LINK4U Production Video, to record the entry
either as it is originally recorded or as a newly recorded version, for
non-sale promotional purposes and to use the resulting recording for
such promotional purposes as LINK4U PRODUCTIONS shall deem fit.
8. Each entrant acknowledges that in the event he or she is the winner
of a prize in this competition, LINK4U PRODUCTIONS will have the right
to publicize and print his or her name and likeness and the fact that he
or she won a prize in the competition and all related matters without
additional compensation.
9. Entrant agrees that if selected as a first place winner, LINK4U
Production has the right to include their winning song(s) on a LINK4U PRODUCTION
Video to be used for promotional purposes only.
10. LINK4U PRODUCTIONS reserves the right to extend this contest contingent on the number of entries.
11. Contestant's submission of an entry into the contest constitutes
his/her agreement to release, indemnify and hold harmless LINK4U, LINK4U
PRODUCTIONS and its agents and LINK4U Network websites from and against
any claim, including, without limitation, of copyright infringement or
other misappropriation, arising from any acts or omissions in connection
with the contest or its operation. All Contestants must sign (i) an
affidavit of eligibility and release of LINK4U Networks, LINK4U
PRODUCTIONS AND LINK4U.COM and its affiliate websites and from any and
all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action for personal injury
and/or damage, theft, or loss suffered in connection with this promotion
or the use or acceptance of the prize or any portion thereof to be
eligible for the prizes; and (ii) except where prohibited, a promotional
release granting the right to use his or her name and likeness for
advertising and publicity purposes by LINK4U, and on LINK4U.com without
additional compensation. Entry into this Contest constitutes
Contestant's agreement to sign such releases. Winners will be notified by mail and must sign and return an affidavit of eligibility/recording rights/publicity release within 14 days of notification date. The affidavit will state that winner's song is original work and he/she holds all rights to the song. Failure to sign and return such affidavit within 14 days or provision of false/inaccurate information therein will result in immediate disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. Affidavits of winners under 18 years of age at time of award must be countersigned by parent or legal guardian. Affidavits subject to verification by LINK4U PRODUCTIONS and its agents. Entry constitutes permission to use winners' names, likenesses, and voices for future advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation.
12.Entrant agrees to be bound by LINK4U PRODUCTIONS Entry Procedures and Rules and Regulations established.
